Pupchi Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mr. Dmytro Dubrovskyi (referred to as "we"/"us") handles personal data when you use the Pupchi app and related website (the "Service"). It works alongside our Terms of Use.
1. Who Is Responsible
For the data described here, Mr. Dmytro Dubrovskyi is responsible for deciding why and how it is processed. Some technical tasks (e.g. hosting) may be carried out by third-party services on our behalf (see Section 5).
Questions about privacy or your rights — contact support@pupchi.com.
2. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service or the law changes. We’ll notify you of material changes in the app or on the website. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
3. What Data We Collect
Data you give us
•
Account and profile. Name, email, login details, and anything else you add to your profile.
•
Pet information. Your dog’s profile — name, age, breed, temperament, behavior notes, routine, and any health-related details you enter so we can tailor a training plan.
•
Messages and feedback. Anything you send through surveys, support, reviews, or other communication.
•
User content. Text, photos, videos, and similar content you post or upload through the Service.
•
Purchase and subscription data — which plan you chose, whether you are in a free trial, the currency and amount, the dates, whether the subscription renewed, lapsed or was cancelled, and a store-issued transaction identifier. Never your card number or bank details.
•
Advertising identifier — on iOS, only if you allow tracking when we ask. On Android, unless you have deleted or reset it in your device settings.
•
Attribution data — which advertisement, link or campaign your install or purchase came from, and your IP address at that moment.
Data collected automatically
•
Technical and usage data. IP address, browser/language settings, time zone, connection time, which features you use, and how you navigate the Service.
•
Device data. Device model and type, operating system version, unique device identifiers.
4. Why We Use Your Data
•
Running the Service — to create your account and provide the features you sign up for;
•
Personalization — to tailor lessons and recommendations to your dog;
•
Analytics and improvement — to understand how the Service is used and fix problems;
•
Security — to protect the Service and users from fraud or abuse;
•
Support — to respond to your questions;
•
Communication — to send important service notices (e.g. about security), and, with your separate consent, any other messages;
•
Legal compliance — where required by law.
•
Marketing and attribution — to understand which channels and campaigns bring users to the app (see Section 13).
If we ever want to use your data for a genuinely new purpose, we’ll notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
5. Payments
Pupchi offers paid subscriptions. Payment is taken by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us. We never receive or store your card number, bank details or billing address.
What we do receive is a record of the transaction itself: which plan you bought, whether you are in a free trial, the currency and amount, the date, whether the subscription renewed, lapsed, or was cancelled, and a store-issued transaction or receipt identifier. We process this data to perform our contract with you — unlocking paid features across your devices, restoring your purchases, keeping accurate revenue records, and answering support questions about billing.
We use RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) to manage subscriptions and validate purchase receipts on our behalf. Apple and Google are the sellers of record and handle your payment under their own terms and privacy policies.
See "How Long We Keep Data" for how long these records are retained.
6. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it with service providers who process it on our instructions, and only what each one needs:
•
RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) — subscription management and receipt validation. Receives your app-generated identifier and your purchase events.
•
AppsFlyer Ltd. (Israel), on iOS only — measures which marketing campaign an install or purchase came from. Receives device and app identifiers, including your device’s advertising identifier where you have allowed it, your IP address, and purchase events.
•
Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (Firebase Analytics) — product and purchase analytics, and campaign measurement on Android. Receives app usage and purchase events, an app instance identifier, device data, your IP address, and — on Android — your device’s advertising identifier and the Google Play install referrer.
•
Amplitude, Inc. (United States) — product analytics.
•
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., United States) — crash and error reporting.
•
Apple Inc. and Google LLC — as the stores that sell and bill the subscription. For the payment itself they act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.
•
Hosting and other technical vendors needed to run the Service.
•
Authorities or professional advisers, where the law requires it or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
Some of these providers are outside the EEA and the UK. Where that is the case we rely on a European Commission adequacy decision, on standard contractual clauses, or on another lawful transfer mechanism.
7. What We Don’t Do, and Children
We don’t sell or rent your personal data to third parties for their own purposes.
Pupchi is not intended for children. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 (or the higher age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@pupchi.com and we’ll delete it.
8. How Long We Keep Data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within two months, except as set out below or where the law requires longer retention.
Subscriptions and payments. Records of subscriptions and payments are kept for 72 months, as required by applicable tax and accounting law.
Attribution and analytics. We use AppsFlyer (attribution, on iOS only) and Firebase (analytics on both platforms, and campaign measurement on Android) to understand how the app is used and installed. Data processed through these services is retained according to the settings we have configured: attribution data for 24 months with AppsFlyer, and analytics data for 14 months with Firebase. These providers may have their own retention practices for data processed on their infrastructure.
9. How We Protect Your Data
We use technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse (e.g. access controls, encryption). No system is completely secure — keep your login details private and let us know if you suspect a problem.
If something goes wrong. In the event of a data breach, we’ll assess and contain it, and if it creates a high risk to you, we’ll notify you without undue delay.
10. Your Rights
If you’re in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the following rights over your personal data, free of charge:
•
Access — find out what data we hold about you;
•
Rectification — correct inaccurate data;
•
Erasure — have your data deleted in certain cases;
•
Restriction — limit how we process your data;
•
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format;
•
Objection — object to processing, including opting out of marketing messages;
•
Withdraw consent — where we rely on it;
•
Complaint — complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact support@pupchi.com.
Other regions. If you live outside the EU/EEA/UK, you may have similar rights under local law (e.g. CCPA in California). We honor the rights that apply to you.
11. Managing or Deleting Your Data
You can review and update most information directly in the app. To delete your account and personal data, use the in-app deletion option or send us a request at support@pupchi.com. Deleting your account means losing access to your content and progress.
12. How We Handle Requests
We try to respond to requests within 30 days (or the period set by local law). We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
13. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising Technologies
We use these tools to understand how the app is used, how it fails, and which marketing brings people to it:
•
Amplitude — product analytics: which screens and features get used. Data: app-generated identifier, in-app actions, technical device data, and, for some sessions, a recording of how the app's screens are used, with anything you type, your calendar notes and your dog's photo masked on your device before anything is sent. Privacy policy: https://amplitude.com/privacy
•
Sentry — error and crash reports. Data: app-generated identifier, device data, app version, technical logs at the time of a crash or error (which may occasionally include content visible on screen at that moment). Privacy policy: https://sentry.io/privacy/
•
Firebase Analytics (Google) — app usage and purchase events, including trial starts, subscription starts, renewals, and cancellations, and — on Android — campaign measurement. Data: app instance identifier, usage and purchase events, device data, and on Android your advertising identifier and the Google Play install referrer. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
•
AppsFlyer (iOS only) — attribution: which advertisement or link an install or purchase came from, and how campaigns perform. Data: advertising identifier (where permitted), IP address, device details, install and purchase events. Privacy policy: https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/services-privacy-policy/
The app does not use cookies.
Advertising identifiers. Earlier versions of Pupchi did not use your device’s advertising identifier. That has changed, and which service uses it depends on your platform. On iOS, AppsFlyer may use the IDFA, together with your IP address and device details, to attribute installs and purchases to marketing campaigns. On Android we do not use AppsFlyer at all; instead Google (Firebase Analytics) may use the Advertising ID, together with your IP address, device details and the Google Play install referrer, for the same campaign measurement.
On iOS, we ask your permission first, through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, we do not access the IDFA, and attribution falls back to Apple’s privacy-preserving measurement. Android has no equivalent prompt, so there the Advertising ID is used unless you reset or delete it yourself. Either way, you can change your mind at any time:
•
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
•
Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID
Amplitude and Sentry continue to use an app-generated identifier, not your advertising identifier.
